Maintenance Mechanic - Machinist - 2nd shift

As a Machinist / Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll maintain and repair/rebuild equipment and machine parts and components needed to ensure high‑speed equipment runs smoothly. This includes diagnosing, repairing, machining, and fabricating parts, while adhering to safety and quality standards.

• Machining, Fabrication & Repair: Rebuild equipment, manufacture parts as needed, and fabricate components from blueprints or concepts using machining tools.
• Equipment Maintenance: Diagnose issues, modify, repair, and calibrate high‑speed packaging machinery and process equipment.
• Troubleshooting: Perform equipment changeovers and troubleshoot using preventive maintenance programs (PMs), SOPs, and equipment manuals.
• Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks and repairs to prevent equipment failures.
• Safety Compliance: Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
• Documentation: Accurately document all work performed to meet company policies and regulatory standards.
• Collaborative Teamwork: Work with team members to ensure the facility meets GMP, sanitation, food safety, and quality standards.
• Machinery Operation: Operate high lifts and fork trucks (training is available).
• Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to support overall production goals.

• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills, with the ability to maintain various processing machines.
• 4+ years of maintenance and/or milling and machining experience.
• Machining Expertise: Experience operating a manual lathe and/or milling machine.
• Commitment to safety, GMP, and quality/food safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Testing Requirements:
• General Basic Test (Minimum 80%).
• Machinist Test (Minimum 85%).
