Use hand tools to assemble fabricated parts and perform basic operations on manufacturing equipment/machines
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES- Perform various tasks including using hand tools to assemble fabricated parts at floor stations, perform basic operations on standard manufacturing machinery, and product packaging
- Test and calibrate assembled mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications
- Adhere to the calibration schedule for all tools used by the team
- Be aware of all Quality requirements
- Follow the Work Instructions and Food & Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines
- Identify any documentation errors and bring to the attention of the Line Leader (i.e. Bills of Material, Quality documents, Work Instructions)
- Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
- Complete the annual CTPAT Security Training
- Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
- Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
- Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times
- Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
- Must be a team player, friendly, detail-oriented, and honest
- Must have the ability to:
- Safely operate heavy equipment that is known to interfere with Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators and other electrical medical implants
- Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
- Be cross-trained for multiple jobs within assigned work area(s)
- Work under general supervision and direction from leadership team
- Safely use hand tools and standard power tools
- Operate machines safely with minimal supervision
- Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Use a hydraulic lift, hand tools, standard power tools, measuring tools, small table lifting device and electronic testing equipment
- Read and comprehend work instructions
- Push/Pull/Lift 50 lbs.
- Stand/Bend/Kneel
- Must have:
- Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement
- A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods
- Good verbal and written communication skills
No experience required
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE- At least 1 year of experience using hand or power tools to assemble parts or product preferred
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience operating machinery preferred
- Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future
