This assignment offers an opportunity for a detail-oriented Micro Soldering / Circuit Board Technician to perform precision soldering and repair work on electronic circuit boards and components. You will use your fine motor skills and strong visual acuity to work with small-scale electronics, ensuring high-quality assembly, repair, and inspection of printed circuit boards in a clean, steady-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Perform micro soldering on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic components with a high degree of precision.
- Assemble, repair, and rework circuit boards to meet established quality standards and specifications.
- Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and technical instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately.
- Inspect solder joints and completed assemblies for defects, inconsistencies, or other quality issues using microscopes and visual inspection techniques.
- Use hand tools, microscopes, soldering equipment, and other tools safely and effectively during assembly and repair work.
- Troubleshoot issues on circuit boards and electronic assemblies, including surface-mount technology (SMT) components, to identify and correct problems.
- Perform wiring and electronic assembly tasks in accordance with mechanical and electrical requirements.
- Conduct inspection and repair of surface-mount technology components to ensure proper function and reliability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation, following all company safety procedures and quality guidelines.
- Document work performed, including any rework or repairs, and report issues or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Proven experience in micro soldering on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic components.
- Strong soldering skills for both through-hole and surface-mount technology (SMT) components.
- Ability to assemble, repair, and rework circuit boards and electronic assemblies.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and technical instructions.
- Experience working under a microscope for microscopic and fine-detail assembly and inspection.
- Strong fine motor skills and steady hands for precise work on small-scale electronics.
- Hands-on experience with electronic assembly, including wiring and mechanical integration.
- Ability to use hand tools, soldering equipment, and inspection tools safely and effectively.
- Competence in troubleshooting electronic assemblies and identifying defects or inconsistencies.
- Attention to detail and commitment to following safety procedures and quality guidelines.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with surface-mount technology (SMT) assembly, inspection, and repair.
- Experience in working with PCB boards and electronic circuit boards in a production or repair environment.
- Familiarity with inspection processes for solder joints and electronic assemblies.
- Comfort working with mechanical aspects of electronic assemblies, including hand tools and wiring.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation of work performed and communicate issues clearly.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and efficient workstation.
