We are seeking a Psychiatric Technician to join our team in our Bethlehem, PA location.
Position Details
The Psychiatric Technician will:
* administer medication and therapeutic treatments, monitor for potential side effects and report
* provide care in a manner that considers the patient's rights, safety, comfort and the overall therapeutic environment
* observe, document and report resident behavior
* monitor and document weights, blood pressure, pulse and respiration per MD orders and monthly for all residents
* communicate with co-workers and supervisors in a timely manner that affects patient care or well-being
* fill in resident charts
* assist in orientation and training of new staff members, understand, and implement Merakey policies and procedures
* order refills of medications,
* act as lead staff when the Administrator or Asst. Administrator is not available.
* complete all other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
Earn $18.25 an hour with the selection of enhanced pay.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
* Mental Health experience is preferred.
* Must be at least 21 years of age
* Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required
* Must be able to work 11p-7a full-time with weekends and holidays
