Part‑Time Sales Associate – Intermittent Liquor Store Clerks (ILSC) – Store #4608
Description of WorkAs a Part‑Time Sales Associate, you will be the face of our Fine Wine & Good Spirits store, engaging customers, managing sales transactions, stocking shelves, and maintaining a welcoming shopping environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service and help shoppers find what they need.
- Process sales transactions with a computerized cash register.
- Unload shipments, stock shelves, and set up product displays.
- Receive, assemble, and pack wholesale customer orders, loading them into vehicles.
- Lift and move products weighing 30 to 60 pounds, ensuring personal safety and product protection.
- Stand for extended periods of time.
- Keep the store clean and organized.
- Use scanners, box cutters, dollies, carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks as needed.
- Follow all legal guidelines to ensure alcohol is sold only to customers who are legally permitted to purchase it.
- Work in a friendly, team‑oriented environment where each day presents new challenges and rewards.
- Location:
Store #4608 – accessible via public transportation (Routes #105 and #106); FREE staff parking available. - Preferred availability: 15–32 hours per week, flexible shifts ranging from 4–6 hours per shift. Rotating schedule may include daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
- Typical schedule (subject to change):
- Monday–Wednesday: 9:00 am – 9:00 pm
- Thursday–Saturday: 9:00 am – 10:00 pm
- Sunday: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
- Minimum hours: 13 hours per week; up to 32 hours per week possible.
- No telework available for this position.
- Salary:
Minimum wage for new Commonwealth employees; not negotiable. - Relocation:
Must work in the listed store; transfers to other county or district stores are possible but not guaranteed. - Residency:
Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirements. - Pay for eligible employees:
Affordable Care Act/ Bronze Plan medical benefits begin on the first day of employment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.

- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Pass a background investigation; applicants with a felony conviction within the last ten years are not permitted to work for the PLCB (per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code). Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case‑by‑case basis.
