Position Overview

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA is hiring a Lab Coordinator to coordinate daily lab operations for the Attention and Behavior Clinic.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily lab operations, including maintenance and enhancement of EEG hardware and programming of cognitive tasks.
  • Train new staff in task design, application, and EEG data collection.
  • Maintain, log, and enhance existing hardware and identify/obtain new equipment.
  • Oversee data analysis and quality control.
  • Manage budgets and procurement.
  • Draft technical reports for grants and assist with future project development.
  • Assist with IRB submissions and publication of study manuscripts.
  • Participate in participant recruitment, screening, and enrollment, including completion of semi‑structured diagnostic interviews.
  • Update regulatory documents and coordinate study efforts across team members.
  • Collect EMA survey and neuro‑physiology data.
Qualifications
  • Past research experience in behavioral health is required; experience with youth in clinical or research settings is preferred.
  • Experience with EEG/ERP data collection and programming basic cognitive tasks is preferred but not required.
  • Experience developing surveys in REDCAP is preferred but can be acquired as part of training.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years related experience (Advanced Professional) or 6 years (Senior Professional).
  • Proficiency in maintaining and enhancing EEG hardware, processing software, and programming for task adaptation.
  • Ability to work full time (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday) with some evening hours.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.; PA state background checks required (criminal, child abuse history, FBI).
