Fisheries Biologist 1
The Fisheries Biologist 1 position supports fisheries management in northwest Pennsylvania by conducting field surveys, data analysis, and reporting on fish habitats and aquatic resources. Based in Linesville with Fisheries Management Area 1 of the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, this role involves leading field crews, analyzing fish age and growth, supporting creel studies, and collaborating on conservation efforts across lakes, rivers, and streams.
Key qualifications- Bachelor's degree in biological science with 12 college credits in fish biology, fisheries management, or related aquatic/fisheries courses
- Valid motor vehicle driver's license
- Field survey experience and data management capability
- Ability to lead crews and conduct field investigations
- Knowledge of fish population dynamics and aquatic ecology
