Trillium Professional is now seeking a Field Service Engineer for direct-hire placement!

Schedule is Monday-Friday, generally 1st Shift (based on customer need). There is a minimum 25% Travel. Pay rate is $30-$38/hour for qualified candidates.

Job duties:

-25%+ travel minimum - flexibility for more based on candidate preference
-Travel = opportunity to increase hours + exposure to multiple projects
-Hiring due to retirements - replacement + succession demand
-Equipment is proprietary - long-term technical relevance + job security
-1st shift - typically 8a-5p depending on repair or install
-Steel toes required - PPE provided on site of travel or shop

A globally leading manufacturer of equipment and complete production systems is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their North American team. This is a direct hire opportunity offering long-term stability, strong technical exposure, and the opportunity to work with advanced automated systems used across multiple industries.

The Field Service Engineer will handle new equipment installations, on-site troubleshooting, and technical support for electric press and automated part handling systems. These machines integrate electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components - requiring a hands-on professional who can diagnose issues, execute repairs, and ensure optimal system performance in production environments.

Travel is primarily throughout the United States, with a minimum of 25% travel required. Candidates must also have the ability to travel internationally.

Key Responsibilities
-Travel throughout the U.S. to support customer sites
-Interface directly with customers to assess and resolve equipment issues
-Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
-Perform repairs and restore equipment to operational condition
-Monitor system performance to confirm successful resolution
-Install and commission new equipment
-Train customer personnel on system operation and maintenance
-Document all service activity and maintain safe work practices

Qualifications
-Associate degree in Mechatronics or related field preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.
-Strong troubleshooting background across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
-Solid understanding of CNC equipment and electrical controls
-Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics
-Strong communication and documentation skills
-Ability to work independently in field environments
-Ability to travel internationally
-Valid driver's license
