This is an excellent opportunity for technicians with industrial electrical experience who want to expand their expertise in controls, automation, and station operations while developing toward becoming a Level I Station Operator
.
As a Maintenance Technician II, you will:
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical equipment including switch gear, motors, generators, pumps, and fans.
- Maintain DC electrical systems including batteries, chargers, rectifiers, and inverters.
- Service PLCs, HMIs, electrical control systems, and industrial control networks.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation including pressure transmitters, switches, temperature sensors, actuators, solenoids, and motor controls.
- Maintain critical safety systems including ESD panels, gas detection systems, flame detectors, and emergency shutdown equipment.
- Assist with preventive maintenance planning and budgeting activities.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain compressor station equipment including fuel, cooling, air, and gas compression systems.
- Ensure equipment operates safely while supporting reliable natural gas delivery.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation experience
Valid driver's license
Ability to work independently while troubleshooting industrial equipment
Preferred Qualifications- Associate degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related technical field
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, industrial controls, or automation
- Experience in oil & gas, power generation, manufacturing, utilities, chemical plants, or heavy industrial facilities
This is a hands‑on field position where you'll:
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Lift up to 45 pounds
- Climb, crawl, bend, kneel, and perform physically demanding work
- Participate in overtime, weekend work, on‑call rotations, standby assignments, and occasional overnight travel
- Be required to live within 30 miles of your assigned reporting location
