Field Service Technician I – Pittsburgh, PA

Position Summary:

Are you a Field Technician, Field Engineer, or Service Technician looking to start a career in this field? Do you have a mechanical aptitude, be tech‑savvy, and want to provide best‑in‑class service to some of the largest retail customers in the industry?

• Hourly Pay Range: $17.00 to $19.00 (depending on location and experience)
• Overtime at time and a half available
• 7 paid holidays and 6 paid floating holidays
• Paid vacation – up to 80 hours in the first year

• Medical insurance available immediately
• Prolonged travel with driving several hours per day
• Rotating and weekend shifts; flexible shift work within set teams (morning, afternoon, and evening starts, including some holidays)
• Physical requirements:
  
  carry/lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs without assistance (up to 150 lbs with assistance); bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, work with hands, and repetitively grasp and manipulate objects

• Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively.
• Service electromechanical equipment such as self‑checkout systems within an assigned territory.
• Perform maintenance, repair, preventive maintenance, and system overhauls.
• Organize and triage customer issues, and handle problems proactively.
• Communicate in an open, helpful, and engaging manner to find the right solution for the customer.

• Local candidate to specific geographic area.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that satisfies company fleet requirements.
• PC skills, basic electronic skills, and familiarity with hardware and operating systems.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software.
• A+ Certification, CompTIA, or N+ Certification.
• One or more years of related experience.
