We are seeking experienced Commercial Plumbers at the Mechanic/Journeyman level to join a Medical Office Building project. This role involves working on high-end healthcare construction, requiring a strong expertise in commercial rough-in, installation, and finishing plumbing, with a keen attention to detail and adherence to code compliance.
Responsibilities- Work independently and manage plumbing tasks efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Perform rough-in installation of domestic water systems using copper, PEX, and CPVC.
- Install sanitary, waste, and vent piping with PVC and cast iron.
- Install and assemble piping, valves, fittings, and plumbing systems in commercial structures.
- Complete fixture installation and trim-out, including toilets, sinks, faucets, and floor drains.
- Install and connect mechanical equipment such as water heaters and specialty systems.
- Perform pressure testing, leak testing, and inspections to ensure all work meets local plumbing codes and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues such as leaks, pressure problems, and layout conflicts.
- Work with plumbing systems that support sanitation, infection control, and patient safety.
- Install and maintain systems with strict requirements for water quality and temperature control, and backflow prevention.
- Assist with specialized scopes such as medical gas piping (oxygen, vacuum) and equipment connections for exam and treatment rooms.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in a healthcare-focused environment.
- 4+ years of commercial plumbing experience.
- Ability to work independently at a mechanic/journeyman level.
- Proficiency in rough-in and finish plumbing.
- Ability to read and work from blueprints.
- Familiarity with commercial building codes and safety standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare or Medical Office Building construction is preferred.
- Medical gas certification (ASSE 6010) is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50lbs+ and work on ladders/lifts.
- Comfortable working in tight ceilings, mechanical rooms, and active job sites.
- Own hand, power tools, and reliable transportation.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $35.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
