Provide support/services to schools and families that will enhance the students’ educational experience.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited school of social work.
- Valid Pennsylvania Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential.
- Valid Pennsylvania School Social Worker Educational Specialist certificate.
- Appropriate keyboarding skills
- Proficiencies with technological communication tools including, but not limited to word processing, internet access and utilization and the full and effective use of the district's email software
- Ability to communicate well at all organizational levels
- Ability to exercise good judgment in prioritizing tasks and decision making
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to form appropriate relations and to work as a team member
- Repetitive movement of fingers and hands for keyboarding
- visual acuity to read significant amounts of correspondence, reports and computer screen data
- Frequent walking and standing for extended periods of time
- Auditory acuity for telephone and oral communication
- A temperament appropriate for work as a team member
- Manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment
- Some carrying and lifting - 15 to 30 pounds
- Ability to speak clearly and distinctly
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of child development, learning theories, and special education law.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
