Principal Software Engineer, Capital Markets, Java

Responsibilities

• Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions
• Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs
• Prepares technical and procedural documentation required
• Facilitates complex problem resolution
• Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues
• Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software
• Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities
• Displays an innovative approach to apply modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities

• 5+ years of industry-relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Java (web and core)
• SQL (Oracle)
• Linux (core and scripting)
• Ability/Desire to gain knowledge of Capital Markets and Derivatives products
• Ability to effectively communicate with the Business on issues and improvements
• Experience with 3rd party trading systems – Murex, Calypso, etc.
• Knowledge of derivatives product asset classes:
  Rates, Foreign Exchange, Commodities (Energy), Credit
• Knowledge of derivative sensitivity measures:
  Delta, Vega, Gamma, DV01, Theta, VaR, etc.
• Experience with Front Office (Trading, Sales/Marketing) and Back Office / Operations (Trade Reporting, Settlements, Accounting, Finance, Collateral Mgmt) and Risk Management (Market, Credit, Legal Compliance)
