Responsibilities- Safe Transportation:
Drive county vehicles an average of 150 miles each day while ensuring passenger comfort. - Consumer Assistance:
Help senior adults and wheelchair dependent persons with boarding and exiting in various conditions. - Communication
Skills:
Communicate clearly with consumers and staff through person-to-person interaction and two-way radio. - Schedule Adaptation:
Adjust to daily route changes and maintain flexibility in service needs. - Social Support:
Provide friendly interaction and positive social contact throughout the day.
- Part-time employment, approximately 14-21+ hours per week.
- Transportation operates 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday with limited hours on Saturday.
- Telework:
You will not have the option to telework in this position. - Salary:
In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
- One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
- No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.
- You must meet the PA residency requirement.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
