Dollar General Fleet is hiring Class A CDL Truck Drivers for regional home weekly routes. As a DG Fleet driver, you'll connect our distribution centers with Dollar General stores and new locations expanding across the country – all while getting home every week and bringing the people (and pets) you love along for the ride.

Pet Policy – Bring Your Best Friend DG Fleet welcomes your four‑legged co‑pilot. Drivers may bring one vaccinated, non‑aggressive dog or cat on loads. Requirements:
- Pet must be current on vaccinations, including rabies
- Register your pet at your terminal and provide vaccination records prior to your first trip together
- Pets must remain in the cab while on DG store or distribution center property, and be leashed any time outside the truck

Position details:
Average annual earnings: $80,000‑$100,000+ (will be discussed further in an interview); schedule Monday - Friday, day shift; route: start time between 3:00am - 5:00am; average end time between 3:00pm - 5:00pm; local routes: home nightly & weekends off. Primary responsibilities:
The driver is responsible for driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, shuttle, and overnight and drive and drop routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading food and food related products to customers in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). ... etc.
- Performs all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation inspects tractor/truck and trailer to insure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed.
- Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required.
- Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies. Immediately reports all safety hazards.
- Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
- Performs count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded.
- Checks and completes in an accurate and in legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight.
- Moves tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed.
- Drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule.
- Unloads products from the trailer, transports items into designated customer storage areas.
