As a Shipping Material Handler, you'll be responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping finished products while ensuring inventory accuracy, proper documentation, and on‑time deliveries.
What You’ll Do- Pick, verify, package, and prepare finished products for shipment according to customer and company requirements
- Generate shipping labels, packing lists, and required shipping documentation
- Verify shipment accuracy against work orders, customer orders, and packing instructions
- Coordinate shipments with carriers and schedule pickups as needed
- Maintain accurate inventory by processing shipping transactions in the inventory management system
- Ensure products are properly packaged, labeled, and handled to prevent damage during transit
- Organize and stage outgoing shipments for efficient loading and delivery
- Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area
- Follow company procedures, quality standards, and safety guidelines while meeting shipping deadlines
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials throughout the workday
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to shipping accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of shipping, warehouse, logistics, material handling, or related experience
- Experience using inventory or ERP systems is preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
