We are currently hiring four heavy civil laborers for a pipeline installation project.
Work Location:
NWRIP Bethpage, New York (must be within daily commuting distance; no per diem or commuting compensation will be offered).
Under the direction of the Construction Manager, the Laborer will support civil construction activities including asphalt cutting, trenching, pipeline installation, bedding placement, compaction, traffic control, and basin refurbishing. This is a project-based role paid within federal provisions.
Candidates must submit a resume demonstrating experience within heavy civil construction, have no prior convictions, a clean driver’s record, a valid driver’s license, and pass a drug test and physical that meets job standards.
Key Responsibilities- Support asphalt cutting, trenching, and pipeline installation activities
- Load trucks and stockpiles excavated soil and asphalt
- Install effluent pipe and place pipe bedding material
- Perform trench back filling and compaction
- Assist with restructuring and refurbishing existing basins
- Install erosion control measures
- Clear vegetation as required for construction activities
- Flag and control vehicle traffic in active work zones
- Perform site restoration upon completion of work
- Use hand tools safely and effectively
- Work in a team environment in a safe and productive manner
- Experience or ability to perform labor duties in civil construction (1+ years experience desired)
- Ability to work safely in a team-oriented environment
- Clean driving record with a valid driver’s license
- Dependable transportation and working cell phone
- Must live within daily commuting distance of the job site
- No convictions
- Ability to pass drug screen and physical examination
$45.49/hour base rate + $35.98/hour fringe, Total: $81.47/hour.
