Sign Production Operator and Installer

A locally owned and nationally recognized Signage, Printing, and Marketing Services company in central Bethpage, New York is looking for an experienced Sign Shop Production Operator and Installer.

We work with a local and national client base who challenge us to produce the best signage to represent their organizations from foamcore posters to ground signs and channel lettering to wall wraps. Our Sign Shop Production Operator and Installer work closely with our sales team, providing support with the goal of increasing sales and customer satisfaction.

Responsibility Overview:

• Understanding of signage and graphics media and substrates
• Proficient use of sign production and finishing equipment
• Prepare substrates for application. This may include cutting, laminating, cleaning and maintaining the substrates for application
• Weed excess vinyl from computer cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl and complexity of image. Know how and when to use each technique
• Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-construction by accurately reading and interpreting a work order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards (bubbles, rough edges, loose seams)
• Perform finishing operations such as laminating, cutting, and/or mounting of printed pieces
• Install signs at customer locations
• Operate and perform routine/pre-emptive maintenance on all equipment
• Maintain sufficient inventory of media, laminates and substrates

• Valid driver's license/clean driving record is a must
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., work with power tools, and use ladder comfortably
• Presentable, dependable, reliable, and detail-oriented
• Must be motivated, energetic, and able to problem solve on site
• Vehicle wrap installation experience is a plus

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
