Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Advanced R&D Scientist / Engineer — RF, mmWave, Sub-THz & Electromagnetic Sensing

We are seeking an advanced R&D scientist or engineer with deep expertise in millimeter-wave, RF, microwave, sub-THz, and electromagnetic sensing technologies for next-generation biological and material characterization systems.

This role is focused on the design, modeling, optimization, and experimental validation of HET-based electromagnetic sensing platforms ( HET technologies are described in U.S. Patent 11,400,306). The ideal candidate will help develop systems capable of detecting, characterizing, and differentiating materials, molecular structures, cellular states, and biological conditions through their electromagnetic signatures.

Key Areas of Expertise

The ideal candidate will have strong theoretical and experimental experience in as many of the following as possible:

  • Dielectric spectroscopy and impedance spectroscopy
  • RF resonators, antennas, wave guides, and microwave structures
  • Bioelectromagnetics and electromagnetic interaction with living tissues
  • Cellular biophysics, molecular systems, and biological signal interpretation
  • RF/mmWave/sub-THz sensing for biological or material characterization
  • Signal processing and weak-signal extraction in noisy environments
  • Computational electromagnetic modeling, including FDTD, FEM, HFSS, CST, or COMSOL
  • Low-noise analog electronics and advanced instrumentation
  • AI-assisted spectral analysis and multidimensional dataset interpretation
  • We prefer someone with an understanding of MRI / CT medical imaging technologies.
Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Design and prototype advanced electromagnetic sensing architectures
  • Model and optimize RF, mmWave, microwave, and sub-THz systems
  • Develop experimental methods for measuring dielectric, resonant, nonlinear, and frequency-dependent responses
  • Extract complex spectral signatures from biological and material systems
  • Correlate electromagnetic measurements with molecular, cellular, or material phenomena
  • Build and validate instrumentation using tools such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, microfluidic platforms, and impedance measurement systems
  • Translate research findings into practical diagnostic, analytical, therapeutic, or characterization technologies
  • Contribute to patentable inventions and commercially viable system concepts
Ideal Background

We are especially interested in candidates with backgrounds in:

Physics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Electromagnetics, Biophysics, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, RF/Microwave Engineering, or related disciplines.

Advanced degree preferred, but exceptional hands-on R&D experience will be strongly considered.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are a strong fit if you can independently conduct original research, develop novel instrumentation, analyze complex datasets, and bridge the gap between advanced electromagnetic theory and real-world biological or material sensing applications.

This is an opportunity to help shape a new class of electromagnetic sensing technologies with potential applications across diagnostics, life sciences, materials analysis, and therapeutic systems.

Candidates primarily responsibility will be to develop an RF-based HET prototype.

Generous salary commensurate with experience.

Strong benefits package including:

  • Stock options
  • Yearly bonuses
  • Cost of living increases
  • 90% company paid top tier health insurance.
  • 401K
  • Company wide performance bonuses.
  • Your own laboratory with a large operating budget

You will be working at our facility in Bethpage Long Island and must reside nearby.
