Atlas is seeking an IH Technician 1 to support AHERA inspections for New York City Department of Education facilities throughout the five boroughs. In this role, you will work alongside experienced investigators to perform asbestos inspections, collect samples, and help maintain safe learning environments for students, educators, and communities. This is a hands‑on field position with meaningful impact and opportunities to build experience in industrial hygiene and environmental consulting.

• Support AHERA asbestos inspections at NYC school facilities during scheduled project hours (typically 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM).
• Collect bulk samples in accordance with project requirements and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate field documentation and inspection records.
• Assist with the preparation of asbestos management plans and related project deliverables.
• Collaborate with investigators, project teams, and clients to support successful project execution.
• Follow Atlas safety, quality, and compliance standards while working in the field.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability and willingness to travel locally and drive as needed for project assignments.
• Ability to read and interpret project documentation, maps, and directions.
