Overview
The Treasury Capital Markets team leads funding and risk management initiatives for both Blackstone as a Firm and the Funds that Blackstone manages.
Responsibilities- Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of new subscription and NAV-backed credit facilities for Blackstone’s Funds, coordinating with lenders, legal counsel, and internal teams across transaction lifecycle.
- Manage the ongoing lifecycle of legacy credit facilities, overseeing extensions, amendments, refinancings, and aligning documentation with market standards and internal precedent.
- Collaborate with BX business lines to assess liquidity requirements and covenant compliance.
- Support Blackstone’s debt capital markets activities, including corporate bond issuances, by coordinating execution and documentation.
- Prepare and review lender diligence materials and proactively address inquiries from deal teams, finance personnel, and senior leadership.
- Drive process optimization and automation initiatives across the Treasury platform in partnership with Operations, Finance, and Technology to enhance efficiency and control.
- Manage and mentor junior team members and oversee offshore support resources, establishing best practices and strengthening operational discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a quantitative discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in fund finance, treasury capital markets, banking, or credit markets.
- Significant experience with subscription credit facilities, NAV financing and other fund-level leverage products.
- Proven experience leading financing transactions, managing lender relationships, and negotiating credit documentation.
- Strong understanding of fund structures, liquidity management, and capital markets dynamics within alternative asset management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment with strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging banks, investment professionals, COOs, operations teams, and senior management.
- Experience mentoring junior professionals and coordinating cross‑functional initiatives preferred.
Expected annual base salary range: $150,000 – $250,000. Compensation is determined by experience, skills, qualifications and location. Additional compensation includes extensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, FSA), paid time off, life insurance, 401(k) plan, discretionary bonuses, and potential equity or incentive compensation.
