The Vice President of Accounting & Finance will lead the organization’s accounting and finance activities and serve as a key financial partner to senior leadership. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial information, supporting financial planning and decision-making, and ensuring effective financial operations across the organization.
The position will oversee accounting, reporting, cash management, financial analysis, tax and audit activities, and other areas of the finance function. The Vice President of Accounting & Finance will balance strategic responsibilities with hands‑on involvement in day‑to‑day financial activities while helping strengthen processes and support evolving business needs.
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Work Arrangement: Fully In-Office (Mon‑Fri)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight across accounting and finance activities, including financial close, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reporting, and other financial information for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and supported by effective accounting processes and controls.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen financial processes, reporting, controls, and overall efficiency.
- Oversee cash flow forecasting, treasury activities, and other cash management responsibilities.
- Coordinate annual audit activities and work with external auditors to support financial and reporting requirements.
- Oversee applicable tax activities, including sales tax reporting and support for income tax planning and compliance.
- Analyze financial and operational performance and provide insights to support planning, decision‑making, and broader business initiatives.
- Evaluate financial considerations related to contracts, pricing, and other business activities.
- Partner with senior leadership on financial planning, business priorities, and organizational initiatives.
- Lead and develop a small accounting and finance team while remaining actively involved in key financial activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Active CPA license.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including experience in a senior‑level leadership capacity.
- Strong accounting and financial reporting background with experience across core accounting and finance activities.
- Experience overseeing financial close, general ledger accounting, financial statements, and related reporting.
- Experience with cash flow management, treasury, audit, and tax activities.
- Strong financial analysis and problem‑solving skills with the ability to support business and operational decision‑making.
- Experience leading and developing accounting or finance professionals.
- Ability to operate effectively at both the strategic and hands‑on levels while managing multiple priorities in a changing environment.
