We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Pulmonary Function Technologist - Bethpage. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing Pulmonary Function testing, including Lung Volumes, Spirometries, and Diffusion Capacity. Methacholine Challenges will be performed as required. Responsible for daily quality assurance on the equipment to ensure the quality and validity of tests performed.

• Performs Pulmonary Function Testing (FVL, FVC, Lung Volumes, DLCO, MVV) and checks/validates physician orders for testing procedures.
• Performs Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing.
• Performs Methacholine Challenges and efficiently schedules patients, coordinating with Pharmacy to ensure optimal use of Provocholine.
• Maintains testing equipment and generates appropriate paperwork to permit interpretation of Pulmonary Function tests.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

To qualify you must have an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, a CoARC-approved RT program, and an American Medical Association–approved Respiratory Therapy Program. Current and valid New York State Respiratory Therapist (RTT) License or Respiratory Therapy Technician License. Current NBRC registration as Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT). Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills.

Understands admitting protocols for outpatients.

Required Licenses: Respiratory Therapy Tech-NYS

1-2 years Pulmonary Function Testing experience preferred.

Salary range: $55,984.55 - $94,382.40 annually, in compliance with New York state Salary Transparency laws. Actual salaries depend on experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
