Endpoint Management Engineer
The Endpoint Management Engineer provides support, implementation, and design services for Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), Intune, and other enterprise management tools on devices including user workstations (both Windows and macOS), mobile devices and Windows Servers. Resolves and appropriately completes assigned cases and change requests and acts as an escalation for support issues. Applies new solutions through research and collaboration with team and determines course of action for new application initiatives.
Implements new software solutions as required by the business. The core infrastructure technology duties include enterprise Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune architecture creation and management, and top-level support for enterprise-wide initiatives.
Expert knowledge in the following areas:
- This is NOT an operational role. This is an engineering role and performance expectations will reflect as such. Prescriptive instructions for task fulfillment will not be provided.
- Minimum 5 years of experience is expected in candidate’s area of expertise.
- Ability to communicate in a written and verbal fashion, clearly and concisely, to peers, management, and business stakeholders.
- Ability to research, analyze, define, propose, design, document, and implement solutions to achieve business objectives.
- Self-Starter:
Ability to work without supervision on large and/or extended term projects. - Technical problem solver, able to identify multiple parallel options for solving a given business problem.
- Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team while autonomously remaining accountable for individual deliverables
- Excellent troubleshooting skills are a must in this position.
- Knowledge and understanding of common project management concepts
- Understanding of traditional SDLC, Waterfall and Agile project delivery concepts
- Knowledge and understanding of general ITIL concepts
- Agile project team experience is required
Specific responsibilities and expectations include but are not limited to:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of technical experience with Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM).
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Intune.
- Attribute and object level knowledge of Active Directory.
- Background in Windows Desktop Deployments and Management
- Background in Modern Device Management
- Experience with packaging and deploying applications through SCCM and Intune
- Windows OS security patch management
- Escalate problems to management and/or vendors in a timely fashion.
- Develop techniques and implement resolution of problems based on root cause analysis.
- Follow established Change Control procedures to document all production changes, and to limit unexpected interruptions to the production environment.
Primary Technology Expertise Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), Intune, Windows 10+
- Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Power Shell
- Expertise in macOS
- Experience with VDI
Secondary Technical Skills Desired:
- Technical writing
- Jamf Pro expertise
- Experience with C#/.NET
- Intermediate level knowledge of SQL
- Microsoft 365, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint management
