Job Overview
As a Data Analyst within the Real Estate and Private Equity technology team at BXTI, you will develop analytical tools that support our alternative asset management operations. Your role involves solving real business challenges by bridging strategy and technology execution, owning complex initiatives from inception to delivery, and advancing the firm’s data platform.
Key Responsibilities- Lead intake and refinement of technology and data requests related to deal tracking, portfolio monitoring, and other workflows.
- Proactively identify opportunities for better tooling, automation, or data flows that increase adoption and reduce manual work.
- Conduct business analysis and stakeholder sessions across the firm, focusing on the Private Equity business to drive efficient modeling, asset and portfolio management, and related workflows.
- Coordinate with product owners, application developers, and UX designers within the broader technology organization.
- Partner with global and regional teams to document best practices and processes.
- Champion sustainable ways of working across intake, prioritization, delivery, and documentation.
- Develop and maintain analytical software solutions using Python and SQL, ensuring code quality, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Manage the end‑to‑end lifecycle of data used in AI and analytics workflows, ensuring appropriate access controls, licensing compliance, and alignment with legal, security, and business requirements before release.
- Promote and cultivate a culture of data analytics, science, and AI within the firm, including leading talks and training sessions for both technology and business teams.
- Collaborate with platform and engineering teams on deployment workflows; familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD concepts, and cloud deployment technologies is a plus.
- 3+ years in a data analysis or data science role with fluency in Python and SQL for interacting with data and data warehouses.
- Experience working within a technology team for a financial firm, with a preference for alternative asset management and real estate.
- Advanced analytical skills, including statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with data governance, data quality, and data integration best practices.
- Skilled in using Business Intelligence tools such as Sigma and Tableau.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and demonstrated effectiveness in communicating with business and technical teams.
- Skilled at clearly defining project scope and managing and communicating scope changes.
- Adept at managing multiple priorities and raising issues in a timely and productive fashion.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in software development lifecycle tools, such as version control, CI/CD tools, and cloud deployment technologies.
Expected annual base salary range: $135,000 - $170,000 (actual base salary determined by experience, skills, qualifications, and job location). For non‑US roles, compensation follows local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits include comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, FSA), paid time off, life insurance, 401(k) plan, discretionary bonuses, and the potential for equity or other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s discretion.
