Ambulatory Care Nurse-Per Diem-Bethpage Multi Specialty Practice *GI

About This Role

The Ambulatory Care Nurse will support the coordination, integration, communication, implementation, and evaluation of nursing practice and clinical policies and procedures in a multi-specialty practice setting. This role is ideal for a nurse with GI experience who is committed to providing comprehensive patient care.

• Pay: $42.50/hour
• Location: Bethpage, NY
• Facility: NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island
• Schedule: Per Diem

• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests.
• Collect patient health history.
• Record information in electronic health record.
• Provide information, counsel, and education to patients and families regarding test results and treatment plans as directed.
• Administer medications, provide comprehensive wound care, and perform phone and in-person patient triage for clinical concerns.
• Assess and monitor patient responses to various treatments, procedures, and anesthesia.
• Consult with clinical supervisors and licensed providers to determine best treatment plans for patients.
• Direct, supervise, and delegate to licensed practical nurses, medical assistants, and technicians as needed.
• Support the coordination, integration, communication, implementation, and performance evaluation of nursing practice and clinical policies and procedures.
• Participate in designated activities related to NYULH clinical standards and regulations of relevant outside agencies.

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Nursing required (if hired after 9/1/25);
  Associate Degree in Nursing may be approved contingent upon approval from Nursing Leadership.
• Experience: Minimum of two years nursing experience in applicable area.

  Certifications:
  
  Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York. Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association required. ACLS certification preferred.
