As a National Account Coordinator
, you will manage 1‑3 assigned accounts within our Retail organization. You will work closely with National Account Sales Managers and Field Sales Reps to ensure each customer is managed to maximum efficiency. Your responsibilities include cross‑functional collaboration, internal and external relationship management, and escalation of customer needs to help meet business objectives and improve overall productivity.
Location:
The role is onsite, day shift, Monday‑Friday, working from our Long Island, NY (Bethpage) office. Some work‑from‑home flexibility is available (1‑2 days per month).
- Work in conjunction with the National Account sales team to execute sales operational processes that allow the commercial team to focus on revenue‑generating activities.
- Serve as sales support and internal liaison, supporting processes such as new customer set‑up, onboarding, price maintenance, forecasting, item maintenance, report management, and customer account maintenance.
- Implement new business opportunities operationally, including customer engagement and coordination with internal stakeholders through onboarding and oversight of project/opportunity management throughout the lifecycle.
- Handle accounts receivable collection processes and best practices in collaboration with sales leaders.
- Track sales opportunities through the lifecycle and report on progress.
- Use CRM tools (MS Dynamics, mTrilogix, Smart Sheet, etc.) to manage sales opportunities and develop customer reporting on performance, profitability, and health of the customer relationship.
- Act as a liaison with internal functional areas on the execution of sales operations processes.
- Perform eCommerce maintenance including customer, item, pricing, and administrative functions that support digital solutions and websites.
- Interface and collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure the execution of sales operational processes.
- Maintain data in ERP and manage overall transactional workflow.
- Provide feedback and participate in projects that help streamline our operational processes.
- Establish good rapport with other Bunzl locations, troubleshoot potential problems, rectify existing concerns, and maintain excellent customer relationships.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Three or more years of related sales, customer support, or retail experience.
- Strong user‑level MS Excel proficiency, including formulas and pivot tables.
- Strong understanding of sales and sales operations practices.
- Ability to analyze information, determine appropriate action, make autonomous decisions, and transfer previous learnings to current situations.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to forge strong, impactful cross‑functional relationships.
- Knowledge of one or more operational areas (customer service, warehousing, finance, purchasing, inventory management) is a strong plus.
- Salary Range: $55-75K; determined by experience, education and market data in the geographic location.
