We are looking for a highly skilled Diesel/Trailer Mechanic to take charge of our shop operations. You will report directly to the Fleet Director. If you are a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in your work and leadership, this is the opportunity for you.

- Oversee daily shop operations and workflow.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, and drive trains.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tractors and trailers to ensure compliance with FMCSA, federal and state regulations.
- Train, mentor, and support junior mechanics.
- Maintain parts inventory and maintenance equipment.
- Welds, replace parts, repairs parts, repair electrical systems, diagnose vehicles for minor body and fender work, perform tune‑ups and troubleshoot problems when needed.
- Maintains accurate maintenance and repair records for the fleet using our fleet software eMaint.
- Entering DVIR’s into eMaint for repair orders and check to make sure repair work was performed for completeness.
- Ensure all equipment has necessary paperwork and licenses to operate legally.
High School graduate plus 3 to 5 years’ experience as a diesel truck mechanic, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requirements- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
- ASE certification a plus (but not required)
- Considerable knowledge of safety practices and techniques in diesel truck and trailer maintenance and repair.
- Considerable knowledge of diesel engine operation and repair.
- Considerable knowledge of trailer repair.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
