Job Overview
Physical Therapist Assistant
Location:
School District placements across Long Island.
Status:
Part‑time, hourly (full‑time, hourly may also be available).
Hours:
Monday‑Friday, following school calendar (flexible scheduling).
$50‑$85 per hour. Rates are determined by the service provided, professional experience, and license/certifications held. The position may be full‑time or part‑time depending on current caseload.
Sign‑on bonus: $1,500 after 90 days of employment with active cases.

- Collaborate with a DPT to design and implement creative individual and/or group therapeutic interventions for all children on your caseload.
- Maintain ongoing communication with lead supervisors & coordinators regarding case management.
- Maintain professionalism with families, school teams, and other professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely attendance and billing logs.
- Create and maintain a schedule with assigned individual families/school personnel.
- Collect data on each IEP goal and report on progress quarterly.
- Provide input and attend/teleconference initial CSE meetings and/or annual reviews.
- Passionate about working with children and their families.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to collaborate with various professionals.

- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Current New York State Physical Therapy Assistant License (PTA).
- Bilingual a plus.
