American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment requiring cardiac experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

• Med Surg/Telemetry unit in a Level 3 trauma center hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 3x12 schedule
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR
• Floating required within the same discipline across local campuses
• Administers medication drips including heparin, cardizem, nitro, non-DKA insulin, and amiodarone

• Active IA state RN license or compact RN license required
• Active IL RN license required at time of offer
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• ACLS (AHA) certification preferred
• Cardiac experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• New grads accepted
• At least one completed travel contract preferred
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• One supervisory reference from within 2 years of employment/contract required

• Contribute professional clinical knowledge and skills as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Provide care management for medical/surgical and telemetry patients
• Must not have been employed by the facility within the last 12 months
• Must maintain a taxable address outside of a 50-mile radius from the facility
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
