Job Title
Responsible for personnel, management, and coordination of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and/or Quality Assurance (QA) programs and/or Quality Control Programs. Oversees and coordinates standards, study topics, statistics, summaries, etc. Assists in interpreting policy and regulations as related to CQI/QA. Maintains confidentiality of information discovered through the CQI/QA Program. Directs and coordinates staff education and competency programs. Develops, implements, and updates training, verification, etc.
Responsible for maintaining documentation and meeting requirements of regulating agencies. Assists leaders with development and implementation of Quality Action Plans including benchmarks/expectations to improve overall quality results and document patient test management, quality control, proficiency testing and root cause analysis for unacceptable results. Responsible for inspection readiness. Assists management in meeting and maintaining requirements outlined by accrediting agencies. Develops, conducts and evaluates follow-up of Quality and Compliance audits.
Makes appropriate written recommendations and assists with action plans to continue or improve overall quality results. Develops and presents quality-related training programs/presentations. Collects and compiles information and statistics for special reports. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
Associate's Degree or equivalent experience Field OF Study:
Laboratory Training Preferred:
Working knowledge of regulatory agencies.
Experience:
More than 3 years experience required.
