- Draft, review, and negotiate entertainment industry contracts including talent agreements, producer deals, licensing agreements, option agreements, and production-related contracts.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle from initial deal memo through execution, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with studio policies and applicable law.
- Maintain and organize a centralized contracts database, tracking key deal terms, expiration dates, options, renewals, and obligations.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders — including Production, Finance, Marketing, and Legal — to ensure contract terms are properly communicated and executed.
- Monitor guild and union agreements (WGA, DGA, SAG-AFTRA, IATSE) for compliance obligations relevant to contract terms.
- Respond to contract-related inquiries from internal teams and external partners, providing clear and timely guidance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the legal delivery of motion pictures and television series to the studio's streaming platform and distribution partners.
- Track, collect, and review all legal deliverables required for content distribution, including but not limited to chain of title documents, copyright registrations, errors & omissions (E&O) insurance certificates, music cue sheets, clearance reports, talent and crew agreements, and releases.
- Maintain a comprehensive legal delivery tracking system, ensuring all deliverables are received, reviewed, and archived in accordance with contractual and platform requirements.
- Identify and resolve legal delivery deficiencies by working closely with producers, production counsel, clearance teams, and post-production departments.
- Prepare and manage legal delivery checklists tailored to each project and distribution agreement.
- Coordinate with the streaming operations and content operations teams to ensure timely platform launches are not impeded by outstanding legal deliverables.
- Liaise with third-party distributors, co-production partners, and sales agents regarding legal delivery requirements and timelines.
- Support audit and compliance reviews related to content rights and legal deliverables.
- Manage intellectual property matters including trademark filings, copyright registrations, and clearance processes
- Support corporate governance matters including board meetings, equity matters, and corporate filings
- Handle vendor agreements, NDAs, and general commercial contracts
- Create templates, playbooks, and processes to scale legal operations efficiently
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3-5+ years of contracts administration or business affairs experience within a motion picture studio, television production company, streaming service, or entertainment law firm.
