Asset Management Associate-Commercial Real Estate Finance & Investment Position Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Asset Management pro with four plus years of Commercial Real Estate experience, including modeling and valuation experience, advanced underwriting and strong comprehension of market assumptions.

This is an ideal opportunity for growth to Asset Manager. The role will gain immediate exposure to ownership and senior leaders to support strategic decisions of the real estate portfolio. Additionally, the role will include exposure to a variety of complex real estate structures and elements for holistic optimization of asset business plans.

The successful candidate will be a skillful collaborator able to work across internal departments and decisions makers as well as with external parties such as investors and brokers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis and underwriting of all portfolio assets to ensure alignment with business plans and investment objectives.
  • Evaluate asset performance, recommend strategic pivots when necessary to maximize returns.
  • Work closely with the Acquisitions/Disposition Team, CFO, and CEO, as well as Property Management, Project Management, and Development teams to support portfolio strategy, performance reviews, and investment decisions.
  • Provide due diligence support for refinances and dispositions, including financial reviews, market analysis, and documentation.
  • Prepare investment decks and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay current on market trends, financing structures, and valuation methodologies to inform underwriting and strategic decisions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field; MBA or Master’s preferred.
  • 4 plus years of experience in commercial real estate that includes increasing asset management responsibilities, and advanced underwriting skills.
  • Strong understanding of real estate market dynamics, capital structures, and financing assumptions.
  • Demonstrated interest in CRE asset management with strength in financial analysis and understanding of real estate operations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, presentation skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to multitask, work successfully under pressure, and effectively manage time and workload.
  • Experience with Yardi or similar property management/financial systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel financial modeling; experience with Argus is a plus.
