Job SummaryThe Credit Products Specialist I – Power & Renewables supports underwriting, structuring, and management of commercial credit relationships within the assigned vertical or region. The role provides critical financial analysis, assists in risk assessment, and ensures sound credit decision‑making to support the bank’s responsible lending and portfolio growth.
Responsibilities- Loan Structuring & Underwriting:
Assist sales in analyzing financial statements, assessing borrower creditworthiness, and preparing credit approval packages for the specialized vertical or region. - Portfolio Management:
Monitor financial trends, covenant compliance, and borrowing bases to identify potential credit risks and recommend actions. - Client & Internal Partner
Collaboration:
Work with sales and credit teams to structure deals, address underwriting inquiries, and support client needs. - Mentor Analysts:
Share expertise in financial analysis, credit structuring, and risk assessment. - Credit Knowledge Development:
Stay informed on market trends, credit policies, and risk mitigation techniques. - Make independent judgments on assigned portfolio and resolve portfolio‑related problems.
- Perform special projects and additional duties as required.
- Adhere to regulatory and compliance policies and complete required trainings.
- Undergraduate Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of credit underwriting or portfolio management experience in a specialized line of business.
- Strong financial analysis and risk assessment skills.
- Basic understanding of loan structuring and credit agreements.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and credit decision tools.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Financial Acumen: foundational understanding of financial statements, key ratios, and credit analysis principles.
- Analytical Thinking: assess financial data, identify trends, evaluate borrower creditworthiness.
- Detail Orientation: ensure accuracy in financial analysis, credit packages, and risk assessments.
- Collaboration & Communication: work effectively with RMs, credit officers, and stakeholders; strong written and verbal skills.
- Time Management: manage multiple loan requests, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
- Technology Proficiency: intermediate Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, VLOOKUP), familiarity with credit analysis software.
- Curiosity & Learning Agility: willingness to develop credit expertise and stay informed on industry trends.
- Relationship Building: build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, communicate clearly, and collaborate proactively.

CompensationSalary range: $110,690 - $136,592 (location-based market pricing).
