Position Overview
Our client is a leading real estate investment and development firm focused on creating value through community-focused real estate and infrastructure projects. With a strong presence across the Americas, the firm is known for its collaborative, high-performance environment and long-term growth opportunities.
The Senior Accountant will support the Controller and Accounting leadership team in managing full-cycle accounting operations for real estate investment structures. This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to complex real estate transactions, financial reporting, and investment-level accounting, with the potential to convert to a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities- Support month-end and quarter-end close
, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting - Prepare and review investment-level financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Analyze financial performance and assist with monthly reporting and variance analysis
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and support audit, tax, and valuation deliverables
- Assist with real estate investment accounting
, including debt, accruals, and property-level activity - Support cash management and liquidity monitoring
, including invoice approvals and capital activity - Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and process improvements
- Assist with acquisition, disposition, and fund setup activities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of accounting experience (real estate or private equity preferred)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience supporting month-end close and reconciliations
- CPA or public accounting experience is a plus
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
