Our Business Banking Relationship Managers combine sales expertise, relationship management, and financial acumen to help business clients achieve their goals. By developing new client relationships, deepening existing partnerships, and delivering tailored financial solutions, you ll play a key role in helping businesses thrive while growing your own career. In this role, you ll serve as a trusted advisor to business owners, connecting them with lending, treasury management, deposit, payment, merchant services, and credit card solutions that support every stage of growth.
Backed by a team of specialists and a full suite of industry-leading products, you ll have the resources and support needed to deliver meaningful results for your clients and your portfolio. This position will require consistent outbound marketing activity including cold calling, attending after hour events etc.
Compensation note
: U.S. Bank offers a robust, market-leading Business Banking compensation plan that rewards the full scope of your relationship-building efforts, from loan generation and deposit growth to fee-based production. This role may offer a sign-on bonus of up to $25,000, depending on qualifications and business considerations.
- Spend approximately 60-70% of your time focused on outside business development, active prospecting, self-sourcing business opportunities, and building a book of business from the ground up.
- Develop, grow, and manage new and existing business client relationships.
- Build and maintain Centers of Influence (COI) networks to generate referrals and new business opportunities.
- Deliver financial expertise and client-focused solutions that create long-term, trusted relationships.
- Assess clients banking needs and provide tailored recommendations based on their goals and objectives.
- Educate clients on available deposit, lending, treasury management, payment, and other banking solutions.
- Proactively manage an assigned portfolio by maintaining strong credit quality and overseeing renewals, annual reviews, and ongoing client needs.
- Obtain credit approval within assigned lending limits and recommend appropriate credit structures.
- Partner with Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Business Banking Credit Card, and other internal teams to deliver comprehensive financial solutions.
- Make referrals to additional business lines and specialists as appropriate to meet client needs.

Basic Qualifications- Bachelor s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Five to seven years of relevant experience
- Experience prospecting companies with annual revenues greater than $10 million.
- Proven ability to develop new business and grow a portfolio through consultative sales efforts.
- Established Centers of Influence network or demonstrated success building one.
- Experience working with SBA 7(a) and 504 lending programs.
- Commercial & Industrial (C&I) lending experience.
- Developer & Investor Commercial Real Estate experience.
