OPPORTUNITY
The Underwriter provides financial, credit, and trend analysis to support the delivery of the Bank’s credit products and services to clients and prospects. The role stays current on industry-related, political, and regulatory issues to determine their impact on specific industries or clients, independently structures and evaluates credit requests, assesses borrower creditworthiness, and recommends credit decisions to Credit Administration. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.
HowYou’ll Make a Difference
- Evaluate and underwrite routine to moderately complex credit requests, including new credits and modifications to existing credit relationships.
- Recommend credit structures, covenant packages, and risk mitigation strategies appropriate to the transaction and borrower profile, and elevate complex structures and policy exceptions.
- Partner with Relationship Managers, Credit Administration, and other stakeholders throughout the underwriting process to gather information, evaluate risks, and support timely credit decisions.
- Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, collateral, and financial projections to assess borrower creditworthiness and support underwriting recommendations.
- Manage select credits independently while escalating more complex structures and exceptions.
