PositionSummary
The Residential Case Manager interfaces on an individual and group basis with clients and the milieu. The case manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day process of the client’s treatment experience.
Essential Job Functions- Attends and participates in clinical team meetings.
- Works with the Program Therapist to establish rapport with assigned clients.
- Educates clients on program rules and protocols, including phone rules, cell‑phone protocol, pass protocol, and treatment schedule.
- Provides client with orientation, addressing and managing client expectations surrounding the treatment experience and the scheduling of individual sessions.
- Ensures appropriate consents are in place and clarifies information when necessary.
- Completes treatment plan for assigned clients, including problems and objectives, in addition to those defined by the Program Therapist.
- Conducts individual sessions for all assigned clients, including daily check‑ins as needed.
- Documents all individual session notes in the client chart in a timely manner.
- Documents all interactions with clients in the client chart in a timely manner.
- Provides family and other interested parties with updates regarding the treatment process.
- Documents all calls to family or other related parties in the client chart.
- Documents progress notes around phone conversations as necessary.
- Facilitates 12‑step recovery groups per program schedule.
- Facilitates Family Group when scheduled.
- Provides and monitors recovery‑related assignments for the client, such as a Personal Recovery Plan, 1st Step packet, and other assignments from the case manager book.
- Schedules outside appointments for clients.
- Participates in family/conjoint therapy with the Therapist as specified in individual client treatment plans.
- Facilitates/approves any client passes with input from the treatment team.
- Facilitates Aftercare planning with the client, including reviewing exit plans and facilitating clients taking exit surveys prior to completion of treatment.
- Communicates with residential staff via Communication Log and the client’s record to maximize utilization of the milieu in supporting the client’s treatment plan.
- Ensures client records for the assigned caseload are comprehensive, complete, neat, and meet licensing standards.
- CADC Certification or Intern, CAADAC Certification, or equivalent (Alcohol and Drug Counselor Certificate recognized by California Department of Health Care Services).
- 2+ years’ experience in the field of alcohol and/or other drug services.
- Understanding of the 12 Steps.

Compensation: $27–$33 hourly
