This role is Sunday - Thursday, day shift
The full-time Occupational Therapist in our acute therapy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California will assist in evaluating and treats patients in accordance with the prescription of the physician. Provides patient care consistent with Scope of Practice Standards and Code of Ethics. Provides care while maintaining safety of the environment, utilizing appropriate communication with sensitivity and attention to special populations, including patients with diverse cultural backgrounds, age, developmental issues and physical disabilities.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients under physician prescriptions according to the prescribed plan of care.
- Provide patient care consistent with Scope of Practice Standards and Code of Ethics.
- Maintain safety of the environment and communicate with sensitivity to patients with diverse cultural backgrounds, age, developmental issues, and physical disabilities.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program required;
Master’s degree preferred;
Doctorate degree preferred. - License required: Valid and current license as an OT in the state of California; CPR certification:
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS). - Experience: Acute care experience required; at least one year preferred.
- Physical demands: Able to push, pull, lift up to 100 lbs on an intermittent basis; able to bend, stoop, sit, stand and walk without restrictions.
