JOB TITLE
Materials Manager
General Summary Of Duties- Maintaining the supplies, equipment, and all materials for the daily operation of the surgery center.
- Supervising the maintenance of accurate records associated with the ordering, receiving and processing for payment all requisitions and purchase orders.
- Maintaining the automated systems to support the materials management functions.
- Coordinating physical inventory and completes the mandatory reporting annually at the facility.
- Monitoring savings opportunities, coordinates product evaluations, performs cost analysis and works closely with leadership in product evaluations.
- Receiving supplies and distributing them to the correct locations within the facility.
- Maintain appropriate implant par levels and implant logs with Accounts Payable for payments and replenishment of supply along with all necessary supply needed for implant use.
- Ordering supplies needed for surgery and patient care areas. Stocking Sterile Supply areas daily and balancing time wisely in order to perform physical and desk responsibilities.
- Working with Lead Tech to manage repairs, maintenance or upgrades of equipment and Facility needs with management and reps.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area and keeping track and identification of supply on racks and sterile core areas.
- Three years' experience as a scrub technician or comparable role with knowledge of Materials or healthcare supply chain preferred.
- Knowledgeable in all phases of Materials Management, Supply Chain and its integration with Accounts Payable
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Able to receive orders and put stock away with optimized time management.
