As a Mammography Technologist, you will perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, providing patients with a comfortable, professional, and supportive experience. This role combines technical expertise with patient-centered care, guiding patients through each step of their mammography exams.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality mammography exams on incoming patients and accurately log procedures in the RIS system.
- Monitor patients’ well-being during exams; recognize discomfort or medical concerns and respond appropriately.
- Provide clear guidance to patients, addressing questions and explaining the mammography process in a kind, reassuring manner.
- Assist physicians during procedures, including biopsies, and respond to clinical questions.
- Participate in quality control, projects, and team meetings as assigned by management.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory, safety, and accreditation standards.
- Ability to independently perform mammography exams and procedures with high-quality results.
- ARRT(R) certification required; ARRT(M) a plus.
- California state licenses in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology and Mammography.
- Current CPR certification.
- Minimum of 6 months recent experience performing tomo mammography.
- Willingness to learn new systems and workflows.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Walking, sitting, standing, bending, and light lifting as needed to perform all patient care and technical functions.
- Good perceptual acuity and physical ability to perform direct and indirect patient care functions.
Preferred:
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. Per diem schedule may be considered.
Pay: $60.00 – $70.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
