We are seeking an experienced HR Payroll Manager to oversee end-to-end payroll operations across multiple affiliated entities. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for employees across various pay cycles, employment types, and jurisdictions. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and experienced managing payroll in ADP Run within a fast-paced, multi-company environment.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong payroll expertise and a deep understanding of wage-and-hour compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Operations

  • Manage full-cycle payroll processing for multiple entities using ADP Run
  • Review, audit, and approve timecards, commissions, bonuses, reimbursements, and off-cycle payrolls
  • Ensure accurate payroll calculations including overtime, double time, shift differentials, commissions, and retro pay
  • Manage payroll for hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees

Compliance & Accuracy

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage-and-hour laws (including multi-state requirements)
  • Monitor and resolve meal/rest break premiums, overtime calculations, and payroll corrections
  • Partner with HR to support new hires, terminations, and final pay in compliance with applicable laws
  • Support payroll tax filings, year-end processing (W-2s), and audits
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation

Multi-Entity & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as the primary payroll point of contact for multiple legal entities
  • Partner closely with the team to align payroll inputs and resolve discrepancies
  • Support benefits deductions, 401(k) contributions, and garnishments as applicable
  • Assist with payroll-related reporting and cost analysis by entity and department

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Maintain and optimize payroll processes within ADP Run
  • Develop payroll calendars, processing checklists, and internal controls
  • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll workflows and reduce errors
  • Support audits, reconciliations, and internal reviews as needed

HR

  • Additional ad hoc HR responsibilities

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of payroll experience, including multi-entity payroll processing
  • Hands-on experience using ADP Run
  • Strong understanding of multi-state payroll compliance and wage-and-hour laws
  • Experience processing payroll for hourly and salaried employees
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines across multiple payroll cycles
