Our client is looking for an experienced and dynamic Payroll Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and policies, and collaborating with HR and Finance teams. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

Expected starting base salary $75,000to $85,000 per year.

Job Description:
  • Manage payroll and timekeeping systems to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and company policies.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on payroll-related matters, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and policies.
  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place, periodically tested, and reevaluated.
  • Work with employees and managers to resolve payroll issues and answer payroll-related questions.
  • Run payroll reports for HR and Finance teams.
  • Identify and develop key reports in ADP, organize naming conventions, and train team members accordingly.
  • Conduct self-audit procedures quarterly and annually, documenting findings and coordinating with relevant departments.
  • Work with the accounting team to set up templates and interfaces for payroll data.
  • Prepare monthly payroll data for upload and confirmation by the accounting team.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP) and HRIS.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with HR, Finance, and other departments.
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role.
