OVERVIEW

As Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for developing leading-edge digital solutions that span multiple functions, including Product, Engineering, QE, UX, Mar Tech, and Data. You will help shape our technology strategy, evolve, and future-proof our platform. The ideal candidate will be motivated, proactive, and possess a strong technical background, leadership, and communication skills, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the development and execution of the enterprise architecture strategy, roadmaps, and governance frameworks aligned with retail business goals.
• Conduct research, analyze, design, and deliver enterprise architectures tailored for the retail industry, including infrastructure, resiliency, security, governance, automation, and integration.
• Evaluate new technologies and determine their applicability in delivering SaaS for digital retail operations.
• Provide architectural guidance and collaborate across stakeholder organizations to ensure solutions meet industry requirements.
• Lead cloud readiness assessments, application modernization initiatives, and cost-benefit analyses for retail systems.
• Design deployment architectures for enterprise services, user experience, and operational excellence to ensure performance, fault tolerance, redundancy, and scalability.
• Oversee the integration of omnichannel delivery methods and mobility experiences for seamless retail customer experiences.
• Work with implementation teams to bring concepts to delivery successfully.
• Promote a culture of innovation and excellence, encouraging good engineering practices, minimizing waste and technical debt.
• Embrace calculated risk-taking to achieve business goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of overall technical experience with at least 5 years leading teams as a solutions architect.
• Experience in driving composable commerce solutions for B2C digital capabilities on web/mobile/app platforms.
• Use of AI/data-centric approaches to scale customer journeys and backend systems.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical or business problems into successful features.
• Strong systems engineering background, capable of simplifying complex challenges from design to operation.
• Experience working with distributed teams both onshore and offshore.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Familiarity with UX methodologies, backend integrations, Agile, CI/CD, Dev Ops, and automation.
• Experience with ecommerce platforms like Shopify, Big Commerce, Salesforce Cloud and making buy vs. build decisions; integration with third-party vendors.
• Experience with cloud providers – AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Knowledge of modern frameworks/libraries – React, Vue, Next.js.
• This position requires onsite work at our Beverly Hills or San Ramon office.
