Purchasing Lead / Senior Buyer | Los Angeles, CA (Onsite)
We're partnering with a premier IT solutions provider based in Los Angeles to find a digitally savvy Purchasing Lead to take ownership of their corporate procurement operations. This is a contract role with strong conversion potential for the right candidate.
The RoleThe Purchasing Lead will manage the full PO lifecycle - from vendor sourcing through order fulfillment - while working cross-functionally with sales, operations, and accounting. Digital tool proficiency is a must. The team works with platforms like Ariba and SAP, and they need someone who can hit the ground running in a high-volume, fast-paced procurement environment.
Key Responsibilities- Own the full purchase order lifecycle for IT hardware, software, and services
- Navigate and manage transactions through digital procurement platforms including Ariba, SAP, and supplier portals
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms with vendors to support client and company margins
- Track open orders, delivery timelines, and order status across internal and supplier-side systems
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, vendor data, and invoice reconciliation
- Collaborate with sales, ops, and accounting teams to ensure alignment on order fulfillment
- Build and manage supplier relationships and identify cost savings opportunities
- Report on purchasing data and vendor performance using Excel and procurement dashboards
- 3+ years of corporate purchasing, procurement, or buying experience in a B2B or product-driven environment
- Hands-on experience with digital procurement platforms - Ariba and/or SAP strongly preferred
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate new supplier portals and systems
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data tracking)
- High-volume PO experience in a structured, fast-paced setting
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed
- Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus
