Restroom Attendant

POSITION PURPOSE

The Bathroom Attendant cleans and maintains toilet facilities in accordance with company standards and policies. Cleaning equipment to clean mirrors, floors, toilets and sinks. They perform the cleaning activities before, during and after operational service hours.

• Clean and maintain assigned restroom facilities before, during and after operational hours. Duties include sweeping, mopping, wiping sinks and counters, cleaning mirrors, cleaning toilets, emptying trash receptacles, and restocking restroom supplies as needed. Perform restroom inspections faithfully and honestly.
• Utilize brooms, mops, squeegees, cleaning brushes, various cleaners and sanitizers, etc. to accomplish various cleaning tasks and understand the proper use and care of equipment and supplies.
• Monitor and respond to inappropriate guest behavior, enforce rules and restrictions, regulate guests' actions, and request assistance from a manager when necessary.
• Exhibit a high degree of motivation toward ensuring guest satisfaction by displaying an aggressively friendly approach. Deal with many guests each day in a positive, friendly manner.
• Closely monitor restroom facilities to ensure safe operation.
• Maintain flexible availability to include weekdays, weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Maintain regular attendance in conformance with established standards. Irregular attendance may result in disciplinary action up to termination.
• Work varying schedules reflecting business needs due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry. Attend all scheduled training sessions and meetings.
• Fully comply with Cipriani rules and regulations for safe and effective operation of facilities. Violations may result in disciplinary action up to termination.
• Support necessary changes by maintaining a good industrial relations climate with Cipriani management.
• Protect restaurant and diners by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.

• Speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Read and write effectively to facilitate communication.
• Have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Know the city, particularly tourist attractions.
• Be able to communicate clear directions to nearby local attractions, facilities, and services.
• Learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely.
• Perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
• Walk, stand, and continuously perform essential functions for extended periods of time.
• Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking.
• Have auditory and visual abilities to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED (preferred).

• Most work tasks are performed indoors with moderate temperature controlled by facility environmental systems.
• Exert ability to reach other departments of the restaurant promptly.
• Bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
• Grasp, write, stand, sit, walk, perform repetitive motions, listen, and maintain visual acuity.
• Communicate with guests, supervisors, and other employees continuously.
• Continuous vision for near vision and depth perception is required.
• Use manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment.
