Position Summary

SET Active is looking for a Production Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day production process from development through final delivery. This role will manage production timelines, coordinate closely with international vendors, track samples and bulk production, and proactively identify and resolve issues that could impact quality, cost, or delivery. The Production Manager will serve as a key point of contact between vendors and internal teams, helping keep production timelines on track and ensuring teams have clear visibility into progress and potential roadblocks.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

Key Responsibilities Production Management
  • Manage day‑to‑day production activities from development through X‑factory and final delivery
  • Maintain production tracking files and provide regular updates to cross‑functional teams
  • Build and maintain production timelines, proactively tracking progress and identifying potential delays
  • Coordinate handoffs between development, sampling, production, and logistics teams
  • Monitor and follow up on X‑factory dates to ensure alignment with drop calendars and photoshoot deadlines
  • Coordinate ordering, tracking, and delivery of photoshoot samples, bulk production, and launch‑ready product
Vendor Management
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for international vendors regarding production timelines, sample deliveries, and quality concerns
  • Build strong working relationships with vendor and factory partners
  • Follow up with vendors to ensure production milestones and deliverables stay on track
  • Monitor vendor performance and elevate recurring quality, timing or execution issues
  • Partner with vendors on raw material availability, production capacity, and order status
Costing & Production Support
  • Support product costing in partnership with vendors and the VP of Production
  • Assist with reviewing factory pricing and identifying opportunities to improve costs and margins
  • Track DDP costs and maintain accurate production costing information
  • Partner with Operations on invoice approvals and payment tracking
Quality & Product Issues
  • Partner with Customer Experience and internal teams to investigate and resolve product quality issues, incorrect shipments, and customer feedback
  • Support monthly quality meetings and follow up on corrective actions with vendors
  • Track and communicate quality issues through resolution
  • Coordinate production details including hang tags, polybags, and other packaging requirements
Cross‑Functional Communication
  • Serve as a central point of contact for production updates across Design, Product Development, Marketing, Logistics, Operations, and Customer Experience
  • Provide timely updates on sample deliveries, production timelines, and potential roadblocks
  • Ensure production timelines remain aligned with product launches, photoshoots, and other key business deadlines
  • Escalate production risks and delays to the VP of Production with recommended solutions
Qualifications
  • 3–5+ years of experience in apparel production, with active wear or athleisure experience preferred
  • Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills with an analytical and detail-oriented approach
  • Experience managing international vendors and overseas production timelines
  • Solid understanding of garment construction, sourcing, sampling, and bulk production
  • Familiarity with apparel costing, DDP pricing, and invoice processing
  • Experience managing multiple SKUs, vendors, and production timelines simultaneously
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Design, Product Development, Technical Design, Logistics, Operations, and Customer Experience teams
  • Comfortable maintaining production calendars and tracking tools independently
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment and adapt to changing priorities
