The Surgical Oncology and Hepatobiliary Advanced Practice Providers are integral to the Samuel Oschin Cancer Center. Our practice involves evaluating, treating, and monitoring a variety of cancer diagnoses or potential cancer diagnoses, in addition to benign diseases of the liver and pancreas. Summary of Essential Duties- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver flawless care to patients in the Cancer Center.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic test interpretations.
- Develop personalized treatment plans and effectively communicate them to patients and their families.
- Monitor patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction.
- Actively participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives to advance patient outcomes.
- Provide patient education on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.
- Master of Nursing Degree.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered.
- Over one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Oncology.
- Experience with Surgical Oncology highly preferred.
- Current CA RN License.
- Nurse Practitioner and Furnishing License.
- National Certification or eligibility for certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Current DEA License.
- Current (Life Support Certification – BLS, ACLS) required.
