Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Provides direct patient care as needed within scope of LVN license.
- Supports and coordinates flu vaccines to employees per CSMCF protocol. Provides appropriate planning and management of employee and patient flu vaccination program.
- Assures staff are able to safely perform clinical duties by assessing their skill level within the scope of the LVN license.
- Conduct encouraging rounding and mentoring to clinical staff during regular office visits.
- Manages employee assignments to educational modules in Health Stream (online education system), Red Cap and any other online educational platforms as needed.
- Assists in developing clinical skills training materials; presents educational material to employees during in-services
- Tains employees in clinical skills, processes and procedures per CSMCF policies.
- Monitors staff compliance with professional licenses and certifications including resuscitation certifications; trains and coaches employees in resuscitation if required.
- Acquires and maintains knowledge of CSMCF infection control standards and supports clinical staff in upholding these standards
- Trains employees in infection control practices as outlined in CSMCF policies and procedures.
- Provides support to all clinical and operations employees during regulatory audits.
- Assists in developing new quality initiatives and projects to improve patient care
- Develops and writes new policies and procedures: develops presentations for staff education on CSMCF policies, procedures and processes.
- Assists and audits in abstraction projects.
- Audits abstracted medical records to maintain quality standards.
- Develops monitoring tools and tracer tools for employees to utilize in the clinical setting to monitor patient safety and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
- Analyzes tracks and reports on data metrics as directed.
- Initiates, conducts and completes a nursing improvement or performance improvement project with approved metrics.

- High school diploma or GED required
- 4 years working in acute care or ambulatory nursing setting required
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
- Licensed Vocational Nurse Current CA LVN License required
