Apheresis RN - Spectra OPTIA

Proactive Longevity is seeking experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurses to join our growing clinical team.

We are specifically looking for nurses with hands-on experience performing Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE) using the Terumo BCT Spectra Optia Apheresis System.

• Current, unrestricted California Registered Nurse license
• Prior hands-on experience with Therapeutic Plasma Exchange
• Demonstrated experience operating the Spectra Optia Apheresis System
• Strong peripheral IV insertion and venous-access skills
• Knowledge of citrate anticoagulation, calcium replacement, fluid balance and recognition of apheresis-related reactions
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to provide compassionate, concierge-level patient care
• Experience in an apheresis center, blood bank, oncology department, transplant program, dialysis center or hospital-based therapeutic apheresis service is strongly preferred.

• Perform and monitor Therapeutic Plasma Exchange treatments
• Set up, operate and troubleshoot the Spectra Optia system
• Assess patients before, during and after treatment
• Monitor vital signs, anticoagulation, calcium administration and fluid balance
• Recognize and respond promptly to adverse reactions
• Follow established safety, infection-control and quality-assurance protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the clinical team
